Meet the Team
J. Helen Yang, CFA, Founder and CEO
J. Helen Yang, CFA, has been in FinTech for 20+ years. Prior to founding Andes Wealth, she held leadership positions at Thomson Reuters and Charles River Development.
A co-winner of the prestigious Harry M. Markowitz Special Distinction Award (with Dr. Andrew W. Lo), Helen holds dual Bachelors from Tsinghua University, M.S. in Computer Engineering (with a concentration in AI) from RPI and MBA from MIT.
Helen volunteered extensively. She served on the Appropriation Committee in the town of Lexington, coached First Lego League Robotics and youth soccer, and established the Community Service Scholarship in Andover.
Dr. Andrew W. Lo, Academic Advisor
A world-renowned economist, Andrew W. Lo is the Charles E. and Susan T. Harris Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management and director of the MIT Laboratory for Financial Engineering.
He has published extensively and authored several books including Adaptive Markets: Financial Evolution at the Speed of Thought, A Non-Random Walk Down Wall Street, and Hedge Funds: An Analytic Perspective.
Lo holds a BA from Yale University and a Ph.D. from Harvard University. He founded AlphaSimplex Group, LLC, a quantitative investment management company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Michael Rudenko, Director of Engineering
Michael Rudenko is passionate about technology including web and mobile applications, data visualization, virtual reality and cloud-based technologies. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Tamar Chamassian has been in investment management for over twenty years. An experienced marketing executive, She is highly skilled in marketing strategy, product development, competitive analysis and market research. She led the team servicing global clients with $7 Billion in assets under management.
Lingping Gao is the Founder and CEO of NetBrain Technologies. Founded in 2004, NetBrain is the market leader for network automation. NetBrain Technologies has been enjoying tremendous commercial success with offices in Boston, Sacramento, Toronto, Beijing and Munich.
Xavier is a seasoned executive in commercial and investment banking. Highly skilled in business strategies, corporate finance, financial planning and risk management, he holds a Master of Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence from Institut Quimic de Sarria and an MBA from MIT.
Dr. Hongwei Xi
Dr. Hongwei Xi is the Associate Professor of Computer Science at Boston University. He received his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). A recipient of the NSF Career Award, Dr. Xi is the inventor of the ATS programming language and has served on committees of prestigious ACM conferences.
